The Burnett Family (aka Wyld Type)

Jack was a lead in the Wizard of Oz musical this year at ECDS... his first time in a theater production! We had great fun watching and helping in the green room. Mommy got to do this beautiful face with tons of goopy silver makeup, for each of six performances. So proud of Jack.

Our crazy Tess is turning NINE years old! I know I have loved (and been exasperated through) so many of her energetic experiences in life. She dazzled us with early walking and energy galore and inquisitiveness and spunk and gregariousness. I don't doubt she will have plenty of all that to spread around for the next many years as well. Our gal wanted a BIG sleepover for her birthday, and that is what she got! Mommy had no idea what she was getting herself into.... 12 kids!? It was super fun and the naps the next day were amazing. ;-)

So... I'm not EXACTLY like a Dance Mom on TV, because... well the Carlsbad Dance Moms are mellow. But. This stuff is kind of intense. See below! Why does my child go into the splits when she is asked to pose for a picture? No idea.

Where have these years gone?? He's such a bright, clever, thoughtful, funny guy. We are so blessed. We celebrated him with laser tag and grilling burgers. Love you, little man.
