The Burnett Family (aka Wyld Type)

The CDC Dance Recital is kind of a big deal. Many hours, multiple days. So Wednesday 5/20, we schlepped grandparents and nanny and Mommy and three kids out there to Escondido for the festivities. Which were kind of awesome, actually. Enjoy!

Well, he *was* Carlos when he was saved on the streets of Tijuana. He is a boxer mix, and sweet as can be. Someone put him out with their trash, tied up in a plastic bag. We think maybe because his ears aren't even...?? Anyway, he was fostered for a while by a family at our school, and then we figured he was meant to be ours. He does *lots* of ridiculous puppy stuff, but we love him so much.

Not much happened on Mother's Day... I had to leave for a conference. But we got this photo and I love this nutty bunch.

Where does the time go, people?? Tess wanted an "Under The Sea" party for her seventh birthday, which is somehow different from last year's mermaid theme. Anyhoo, pool party. Evening party made it a little different this year, and the necessary blessing of the two-piece swimsuit. We had a great time, really, and these kids are clever and fun and generally a good time. :)
