The Burnett Family (aka Wyld Type)

Early in the year, I started a gratitude journal. Is it weird to say I'm thankful I started a gratitude journal?? I love this week of the year, partially because it's my birthday week, but also because we get to contemplate all the amazing and wonderful things and people we have in our lives. Clara just HAD to see the lovely new Bevo! (He's a 1 yr old baby, so pretty!) Breakfast with Santa at the Headliners club. :)

We just needed a getaway! GiGi and Bevo and I took the kids out for a fun day. It was wonderful. The Little Mermaid shell ride Jack and I brave the Matterhorn Clara is... not the best driver. The Cars ride was a group favorite! (And I'm too cheap to pony up the cash for the real photo) The obligatory family photo when the kids were too pooped to actually smile.

WELCOME BACK!! I'll try to backfill the 2016 events, but here's a recent post to get you all started. Life happened. Sorry for the absence, but now I'm back and better than ever! Jack performed in a student-created musical called "It Was a Dark and Stormy Night", which included songs from Hamilton, Annie, and Into The Woods. He was amazing, and has an incredible voice (even with no formal training!). Immediately after the performance, we all enjoyed Fall Festival. Mommy painted faces, as you can see. :) And finally, HALLOWEEN!

So cliche, but really, ten years go by in the blink of an eye! Jack wanted his friends to sleep over for his birthday. So Saturday night, we hosted five of his school buddies. First, for a pretty competitive game of two-hand-touch football in the park (of COURSE, Mommy made them custom personalized jerseys), then for "drills"/games, dinner and a sleepover in our loft area. Fun was had by all! Except maybe the parents/referees, who could have dealt with slightly more than four hours of shut-eye. ;-)  Jack provided his friends with protein smoothies to fuel up for the Burnett Bowl The Burnett ladies plus nanny Lindsey cheer on the blue team! (Or not, in Tess' case...) The loft disaster area....(Hero was slightly stressed...!! Haha)
