Trick or Treat, Gimme Something Good to Eat....

Image
This year we hosted the trick-or-treat pre-party at our house again.... Even beginning at 4pm, that wasn't soon enough for our crazies! Fortunately the schoolteachers wanted to see some festivities too, so costumes were completely on and ready by 7am. On their way to school this morning, still lookin' clean... ;) The two Alices: Zoe and Tess both chose to be Alice, and yet with different costumes! :) Zoe's mommy was the White Rabbit, daddy was one of the cards Remember bobbing for apples?? Alice and her Cheshire Cat and Mad Hatter Bounce house *before* trick-or-treat?? Will she ever look the same?? Modeling trick-or-treat. LOL... "I got a Kit Kat!" Our local Wonder Woman, Alicia. And off they go! (while Mommy gets to watch the Charger game and "hand out candy")

Pumpkin Patch Field Trip!

Image
Jack's kindergarten class went on a field frip out to our local pumpkin patch... Quite an endeavor for our first time out as a class! There were actually three classes, totaling 51 students, so it was mayhem in the straw maze and on the hayride. Picking their own pumpkin at the end was the unanimous favorite of the kids.

Tess got the special privilege of "walking" the bunny (on a leash?!) and feeding it on Tuesday--all for her good behavior. Clearly she is ecstatic. I'm so proud of my girl!!

Auntie Phyllis Comes To Town!!

Image
Auntie Phyllis came to see us this past weekend and we really did it up! Mommy and PP walked the downtown harbor area, went out to lunch hung out with the kids. Saturday morning held tball for both kids, and PP was happy to help us warm up. We also made a chewbacca bird feeder (yes you read that right) and a couple of *fabulous* jack-o-lanterns! Thanks for the visit, Auntie Phyllis!

Pumpkin Patch

The first pumpkin patch trip of the season! We'll have to hit this one more often.... It is *right* across the street from Jack's school. Plus, so many bounce houses to choose from! :)

For Aunt April

I decided that I would tell the kids whether they were getting a brother or sister using *frosting*. That's right. I made cupcakes with the frosting on the inside, like a HoHo, and dyed that frosting pink to tell the kiddos that "our baby" is a girl. They are both very excited! (We have a video but it's not all that great.... sorry :( ). I don't know why they were surprised--they could have just looked at my hands! Dye mishap.... "Here she is, Mom!" My favorite statement of fact (read bottom-up). Defanit. Lee.

Dance Class Viewing Day

Image
Once or twice a year, Tess' dance teachers allow the parents to sit in on class and take pictures and videos. The girls were very eager to show off today!
